The Treehouse School at Creek Farm
A Transitional Year Program for Children Ages 4-5 Years Old
A nurturing extension of our beloved Portsmouth campus, Creek Farm is created for families who believe in the magic of childhood and the power of nature. This new location invites young learners into a world where imagination flourishes, exploration is a daily ritual, and the forest is their classroom. Designed as a bridging year between preschool and kindergarten, it offers a gentle, purposeful transition where confidence grows in preparation for the next step in their learning journey.

The bear cubs (4-5 Years Old)
At Creek Farm, learning unfolds naturally, through play, imagination, and meaningful exploration in the outdoors. Rooted in the same values that guide our downtown campus, this environment invites children to follow their curiosity, make choices, and build confidence through hands-on discovery. With nature as their co-teacher, students develop a strong sense of self while learning to care for others and the world around them. Through shared experiences, they grow in kindness, responsibility, and readiness for the adventures ahead.
This intimate group is thoughtfully created for children on the threshold of kindergarten, a nurturing, in-between year where they can stretch their roots a little deeper before taking their next big leap. It’s a chance to explore, build confidence, and blossom at their own pace in a setting designed to honor their unique stage of growth.

A Special Partnership with the Forest Society of New Hampshire
We are proud to recognize the meaningful collaboration that has made The Treehouse School at Creek Farm possible, an inspiring partnership with the Forest Society of New Hampshire, grounded in a shared commitment to land, learning, and care for the natural world. As one of the state’s oldest and most respected conservation organizations, the Forest Society protects and manages forestlands across New Hampshire while advocating for policies that preserve biodiversity and fight climate change. Their leadership in land conservation, forest stewardship, and environmental education provides a powerful framework for children to connect with nature in meaningful ways. Through this partnership, our young learners will gain opportunities to engage with real conservation efforts, witness forest care in action, and deepen their understanding of how people and ecosystems thrive together. Together, we are weaving an even richer tapestry of place-based education, one in which each child grows not only in knowledge, but in care for the living world.
